I am so impressed by the response from everyone about Project 52: Date Nights. Some of you are a bit hesitant. That’s OK. It is quite the commitment to do a date each week. Others were eager to join. Thank you. The outpour of emails, blogs and comments about Project 52: Date Nights has been incredible. Thank you for spreading the word.
Some of you have been blogging along with me showing me dates you have been doing with your special someone. I love it when you leave a link so I can see what you have been doing. So I decided to finally use one of those linky lists to make Project 52: Date Nights more interactive. Beginning next Tuesday at the end of each of my Project 52: Date Nights posts there will be a linky list for you to link to your blog about your date. We can all support each other. Cheer each other on throughout the year. Exchange ideas. Meet new friends. How ’bout it?
Don’t have a blog? That is A-OK. You can still tell us about your dates in the comments. Want to share with me, but not the general public? Email me at tiffany{at}simplymodernmom{dot}com. We need ways to communicate. And I am opening up all sorts of ways for you to communicate with me and with each other.
Also, please spread the word about Project 52: Date Nights. The more people we have to join and follow along, the more ideas we have to exchange with each other. The more support you get to keep you going throughout the year. Let’s show each other some love.
Sorry, but I do have to lay down some general rules and guidelines for the Project 52: Date Nights linky list.
- Keep it clean and family friendly. This is a family friendly site. Anything inappropriate will be deleted.
- It needs to be a date. Not your latest projects or pictures of your beautiful children. I do love reading about your projects and learning about your family. But this linky is for date nights and date nights only. It is for us to exchange date night ideas.
- Link to a specific blog post about your date that week. Don’t just link to your site’s home page. It needs to be the direct link to the post. Anything not directly linked to the post will be deleted.
- Link back to Simply Modern Mom or put the Project 52: Date Nights button on your site. It’s common courtesy. Please be nice.

That’s it. We begin next Tuesday. Get your date posts ready!

I’m so excited about this challenge, and you’re making it easier than ever to glean ideas from others – thank you!

My husband and I love the idea and are ready to commit to 52 dates (even though we’re one behind already). Thanks for the fun challenge!
I enjoy your site.
We are now ‘official’ Empty Nester’s. We now have a plethora of time together, which we are enjoying. Most of our ‘dates’ over the years have tended to be going to movies, dinner, plays, etc. with friends, which we always enjoy, but we don’t build our personal relationship as much on these dates. So we decided to have at least 2 per month doing fun things one on one.
Here is our first, which was great fun~
We had a candlelight dinner at home-dressed casual, but nice-then sat in front of our cozy fireplace and discussed plans for the future. Then off to rent a movie & back home to watch it. We had a great time together and brainstormed ideas for future fun!
Some dates for the future we have planned: racquetball, CC skiing, making dinner together with some friends. Can’t wait.
I am so in love with this idea!! My husband and I started this last week. Our first date was just a simple trip to the movies! NOTHING major but it’s a start! I’ll have to do a post on this on my blog and see if more people would like to join in!
Tiffany,
Hi, I am new to your blog and am joining up on this project. I “simply” love the concept, but I am having trouble putting the Project 52 button up on my blog. Besides just copying and pasting the text in from that box below your button, how does it work? Thanks!
The button code wasn’t working properly. It is now fixed. You’ll need to copy and paste the new code to your blog. Thanks!
Thank you, Nate!
I stumbled across your site and have been hooked ever since. This is my first blog comment ever and I really felt that I had to tell you how inspiring you are. My husband and I are new parents (our son is 7months old) and both work full-time. Our marriage has been put on hold for the millions of other seemingly important things in our lives. Your 52 dates project has given us that push we needed to take time to reconnect with each other. We actually have a “date” this weekend to play Wii Resort with each other!Thank you, thank you, thank you!
Sounds like a fun way to plan a date night! Being a parent of two active boys I am excited to try this out! Can I go backwards to last saturday night? Cause we had a great date night!
yes! please link up last weeks dates!
