Time Out For Moms Challenge Linky Party

Time Out For Moms on Simply Modern Mom

***This giveaway is closed. Thanks to all who entered. Hope you had some fun me-times!***

On Monday I announced the Time Out For Moms challenge. Today I’m letting you know what prizes are in store for you. To read an example of Time Out For Moms, you can read my time out story.

This challenge is sponsored by Amy R. an independent stylist for Stella & Dot . It is the perfect jewelry gift for Mother’s Day for you and any other mothers in your life. Stella & Dot jewelry has been fashioned by many celebrities and featured in tons of fashion magazines. I fashion my Sophia Cluster Ring (pictured below) and get comments on it all the time. I also love their customizable charms. I could look at their site or catalogs for hours just lusting after their lovely jewelry.

And the cutest thing is Stella & Dot just came out with a girls jewelry line that is to die for. And it’s so affordable for such great quality jewelry. If you have a daughter or granddaughter you’ll want to remember this for their birthdays. And if you don’t have a daughter, you’ll want to buy it anyway in hopes to have a daughter or granddaughter one day. It’s that adorable.

So… You want to know what you can win by taking some time out for yourself? One winner will win this set of Charlize Teardrop Earrings. And a second winner will win this Coral Bloom Flower Ring. Lucky you! And please visit our sponsor’s website. You won’t be disappointed.

If you want to order your Stella & Dot jewelry for Mother’s Day, Simply Modern Mom readers get an exclusive flat rate shipping of $5.95 on any order with the code “Fran Frugalista” when prompted for your trunk show hostess. Thanks to our sponsor, Amy with Stella & Dot!

Details of the contest

Time Out For Moms is a challenge where you are supposed to take time for yourself and do something you enjoy. To enter the contest for your chance to win Stella & Dot jewelry, your time out need to meet these requirements…

  1. Take time out for yourself for at least 30 minutes. You can break up the 30 minutes or do it all at once. You can go for an hour or longer.
  2. Your time out must happen between April 26 – May 8, 2010. Some time from now until before Mother’s Day.
  3. It cannot involve your husband or children. This is me-time. You can hang out with girlfriends or go to lunch or whatever with other relatives. Just not hubby or children.
  4. Keep it simple. It doesn’t have to be anything fancy or elaborate. Remember, I’m all about simplicity here.
  5. You must blog about it and link below, leave a comment on this post below or email me tiffany{at}simplymodernmom{dot}com to tell me what you did for it to be an entry in the contest. And please link back to Simply Modern Mom or include the button below in the post on your blog.
  6. You don’t need to have pictures. Just tell me what you did.

The contest ends May 8, 2010 by midnight. I will read everyone’s entries and pick 2 winners by the following week. Winners must live within the U.S. And please tell your friends and family about it. Don’t you think it’s important for them to take time out for themselves too? Feel free to take a button.

I had to take a half day off of work for an appointment, and instead of cleaning when I got home, I sat in my craft room and scrapbooked until I had to pick my daughter up from school. It was SO relaxing… and quiet!!!

For my Time out, I dropped the kids off at school and instead of going to the gym…I came home and went back to sleep on the couch and slept until 11 am !!! It was a much needed break in my usually busy schedule!

For my time out, I went out for drinks with the girls, with no talk about our significant others. Anytime a guy approached one of us, we told them that this was girls’ night, no boys allowed! 🙂 We don’t get together often enough, so it’s really nice to just laugh and chat with the girls

Went out with the girls, first time in I don’t know HOW LONG!! It was so fun to be able to get away from the hustle and bustle for just a little bit.

On a cool and cloudy day I made myself a yummy cup of hot chocolate, sat down at the computer and read the blogs I follow, WITHOUT interruption! It was wonderful, a great “time out” for a busy mom.

I have had a really stressful week – so my Time Out was my morning runs with my two friends and training partners. Have to get up at 5 am to do thisn but it is really as much a social hour as a workout. I also went shopping at the Goodwill. Really one of my favorite activities, and it is bliss to be able to go by myself 🙂

I sat a read a book all by myself for a couple of hours. Hubby took all four kids and I read. Then when they got home, I went to bed a read…It was so fun…

I finally finished reading a novel I had only gotten through a few pages of and began journaling again.

I went shopping with my sister and my husband stayed home with ALL of the kids (our two boys and my sisters two boys). I got my hair done and got to buy lots of new clothes for myself!

    Hi,

I’ve just found your page and I LOVE it! I’ll be going to church for my time out and pray a prayer of Thanksgiving for the joy of being a Mom and Grandma. Best wishes to all of you.
