A Whipstitch Party

I’ll tell ya. Those ladies at Whipstitch knows how to party. And it was a fabulous one at that. Deborah of Whipstitch invited me to the VIP Grand Opening of Whipstitch at their new location. The Whipstitch store is located in Atlanta, Georgia. But if you’re not in Georgia, you can find their designer fabrics online. And I just have one word to describe Whipstitch: Incredible. If you sew, this place is sewing heaven. If you’re not into sewing, this place will get you all psyched about learning to sew. No really. It’s that incredible.

You start out with incredible Deborah who envisioned this whole thing then made it come to life. First of all, she showed up at the VIP party just five days after having that adorable baby girl she is holding pictured above. And second, she has brought a modern twist to sewing. It’s no longer the thing for grandmas. She is writing a sewing book that is due out this summer. I cannot wait for her new book. I’ll be there at her signing, for sure. She also writes the Whipstitch blog that is full of ideas.

Let me give you a visual tour of the goodness at Whipstitch. Load and loads of fabric, even specialty fabrics, everywhere. They also offer all types of classes for beginning, intermediate and advance sewers, including children classes. I love this place. I am so glad I love close to it. I will be coming to visit often.

If you are new to sewing, I would suggest visiting a fabric boutique such as Whipstitch. The employees there are passionate about this craft. They know a lot of what to do, what you need and how to do it. They are enthusiastic about getting you started on sewing. Or even check out classes at your local craft stores if you’re the type of learner who needs someone to show you how to do it.

» Tell me… Do you have a sewing boutique store such as Whipstitch near you? Where do you like to shop for fabric?

Thanks so much for all the kind words! It’s been a labor of love, and one I so couldn’t have done alone–I’m so glad you got to come by and meet the other ladies and see everything we’ve got on tap. Looking forward to seeing you soon, and let us know what else we can do to make the shop your dream come true!
