Project 52: Paper Airplanes

I love it when Nathan plans date nights. He comes up with some great ideas. For this date, we made paper airplanes. Haven’t made one in ages. And I didn’t realize there were so many different ways of making them. I obviously don’t know anything about aerodynamics. We each picked a plane we liked from Alex’s Paper Airplanes. Then we watched and read his tutorials. Lesson #1: Guys can come up with some cool ideas for date nights too.

Nathan made the Swallow, which we found out is not a distant flying plane. But it did have fun flying patterns in the air. I made the Edmonton Shadow. This baby can fly. It flew across our house. Granted we don’t have a huge house, but still. It was a simple, quick date night. Just what we needed after an eventful week. Lesson #2: Cheap dates can be great dates.

Nathan said: There is something about a simple paper airplane that takes you back to the joy of childhood. This was a short and simple date and we had a fun time flying each others planes across the house.

» Tell me… When was the last time you made paper airplanes? Do you know how to make a good one that flies far?

Paper airplanes – what fun! The kid in me loves this idea, and I think my husband would go crazy for it!

Tiffany, thanks for the heads-up about my sewing machine with kids post. That is the first time I have encountered something like that. I really appreciate it! Did you have any luck getting the posts taken down? Have you spoken to anyone directly? I just wrote a comment. Thanks again! Amie
