Nathan’s month to plan dates. I love it when it’s his turn. He comes up with some great ideas. Although this date was my idea that was I going to do last week when we took a last-minute trip to the beach instead. So this week, we made paper maché. Something neither one of us have done since elementary school. Lesson #1: Revising our elementary school pasts brought out our creative side.
This date had a purpose. Our Kaye’s birthday party is this weekend. She wanted a piñata. Her party theme is ice cream. So we attempted to make an ice cream piñata. We only did the cone part for date night. It needed to dry before we did the ice cream part. Lesson #2: Getting your hands and house messy makes for a fun date.
Nathan said: It really is hard to beat water, flour and glue and then using your hands to smear it on a wax paper tube. Ok, maybe it isn’t as nice as a weekend at the beach but we still had a good time and enjoyed the short amount of time we’ve had together this week.
» Tell me… Have you made paper maché before? When was the last time you made one?
