I am having the best time crochet baby gifts for people. My friend, Dana from MADE, recently had an adorable baby girl. She named her Clara. Isn’t that such a cute name? I sent her a little package of baby goodies for little Clara. I crochet a pink baby bonnet and a couple bow headbands. What do you think?
» Tell me… What do you like to make to give away as baby gifts?

What a darling hat!
I used to give away crocheted blankets. Now I prefer sewing. I’ve made a bunch of flannel self binding blankets and burp cloths. I made my sister a faux chenille blanket and will likely only make others for myself (fingers crossed, not an annoucement) or super close friends b/c they take a long time. I have also given the pretty packets of wipes and body butter. People here are having babies all the time and I can’t keep up with sewing.
Great gifts!! I make nursing covers, burp cloths, swaddling blankets and custom onesies as baby gifts. I let my friends and family that are having babies pick out the fabric and make everything for them. they are always surprised even though they picked the fabric out.
In the past I crocheted the blankets, as I got busier I crocheted squares and then put them together quilt style so I always had extra on hand and didnt have to rush and could just enjoy the act of crochet. Lately I have been making diaper cakes. they make a nice display and when all is said and done use the diapers.
I knitted a baby wrap for the last baby I gave a gift too http://blog.mummybrain.com/2010/07/baby-wrap.html
Will you post the pattern for the bonnet? Or at leat give a link for it. I am having a baby of my own and I am kind of obsessed with this on.
