Friday 5 at 5: Favorite Magazines

I have always been a magazine person. When I went to school for a journalism degree, I wanted to write for magazines. It was my dreams. Now I’m living that dream through this blog. I truly love what I do. Anyway…

I subscribe to several magazines. Several. And as you can see from the picture above, I am a few month behind on reading them. Yeah. Motherhood gets in the way. But here are a few of my favorite magazines…

  1. InStyle. This magazine has been my favorite since high school. I love looking at clothes and doggy ear the pages with my favorite outfits.
  2. Real Simple.
This should be self explanatory. This is a magazine of my life. Simplifying and organizing.
  3. Sweet Paul. It’s an online magazine by Paul Lowe who is a food and prop stylist. His work is brilliant and his magazine is no less than amazing.
  4. Lucky. For pretty much the same reasons as InStyle magazine. I just like to browse fashion clothes and wished I had endless budget for clothes, shoes and accessories.
  5. Parents. This is a great resource for parenthood. Great ideas on things for kids and articles on developmental stages of children.

I used to love Red magazine when we lived in the UK. Now that we’re in SA I haven’t found ‘my kind of’ magazine so I usually just keep up to date with things online. x

I have subscribed to parents since before my daughter was born and I recently subscribed to family fun…rounding out a top 5 would be: real simple, rachael ray, and kiwi:)

Real Simple, Southern Living, Mary Jane Farms, Parents and Ladies Home Journal. I have a pile that looks quite similar to yours!

I love magazines, but I don’t buy any. I figure they are so much money for not much entertainment. I love reading my mum’s old Woman’s Weekly’s though :)
