Last Thursday evening I met up with Dana from MADE at her book signing. Dana and I met once before when she came to Whipstitch a few years ago to do a class. Dana’s last visit to Atlanta was also the first time I met Amy from Mod Podge Rocks. So last week’s meet up was a little reunion for the three of us (pictured above, Amy, me, Dana).
The fabulous Dana is just as cheery and nice in person as she is on her blog. She took time to meet each of the people who came to the book signing and had a conversation with everyone. I know. She’s so personable. I will be doing a review of Dana’s book later.
Dana had her book signing at Whipstitch. I’ve blogged about Whipstitch before. But every time I go there I love it even more. It’s a fabric boutique in downtown Atlanta. If you are ever in the area, you will have to stop by and check it out. The store is adorable and full of sewing inspiration. They also do sewing classes ranging from children to advance classes for adults.
Isn’t this eye candy for all sewers out there? Gorgeous fabric and a fun shop to hang. Everyone there went home with fabric and I wish I could see what everyone made with what they bought.
