Disney World or Bust

Oh.My.Gosh. We just had the most amazing week at Disney World with my in-laws. It took a lot for all of us to get there. But we all made it. Had the time of our lives. Now we are back to life as we know it. This was our second time at Disney World. The last time we when was two years ago, click here to see our Disney pictures.

The last time we went we were celebrating Nathan finishing grad school and me surviving him being gone with work and school for two year. This time, we went together with Nathan’s parents and it was a celebration of family. As mentioned before, Nathan’s dad has been battling terminal cancer. It has been a roller coaster ride with his chemo treatments and how his body is reacting to it.

For those of your traveling to Disney World soon, here are some valuable Disney World tips for moms and our favorite things at Disney World.

One of the princesses that we had to see at Disney was Aurora. That’s Elle’s favorite. We got lucky and were first in line to see her at Epcot. She was super nice and spent quite a while with our girls. She talked to them, signed the autograph books and even played hide-and-seek with the girls.

This was a dream come true for my girls. How often do people get to play hide-and-seek with a princess?

We watched the Beauty and the Beast show at Hollywood Studios. It was superb.

Even baby Eve got into it and was excited to see all the characters on stage.

Elle also got to see her favorite Toy Story character, Buzz Lightyear. In fact, she dressed up as Buzz for Halloween last year. It was her idea, too.

We went on several fun rides. This time the two older girls could go on a few rides. Kaye loved the roller coasters. She was pretty willing to try anything there. We all loved the Toy Story Mania ride.

Saw Ariel in her tail. They were still working on the new under the sea and princess part of Fantasyland while we were there. It is supposed to finish this December. It looked really cool though. Saw Beast’s castle from afar and saw a portion of Prince Eric’s castle while we were there.

My fluffy girl on grandpa’s shoulder watching a parade.

And of course they had to get some fairy dust sprinkled on their hair… several times. That stuff comes off months later.

We were there at Disney in time to see all the fall and Halloween decorations up. Made me excited for fall!

We ran into Alice and the Rabbit at the Mad Tea Cups. They didn’t have to wait in line for the ride.

Our Disney shirts in action. They all turned out pretty nice, if I do say so myself.

Thanks to the fast passes, we didn’t have to wait in line for more than 15 minutes for any ride or show. Even the stuff without a fast pass weren’t long at all. September was a great time to go because a lot of kids are in school.

Couldn’t have left the place without grandpa surprising them with Mickey balloons! A great way to end the week.

We did get rained out a few times But nothing we couldn’t handle and it make the trip all the more memorable!

» Tell me… Have you ever been to Disney World? When was the last time you were there? Or when do you plan on being there next?

I lived in Palm Beach, Fl. growing up… We went to Disney 4 times a year.. every year. It got to the point where I didn’t want to go. But now that I live in Tennessee and have kids, I want to go all the time.

I’ve never been in my life, but I live in Sweden so that’s the explanation. It’s a bit sad having missed out on that, hopefully I’ll be able to take my kids if I have any :)
