felt wreath

I saw this wreath at Target a month before Christmas. I immediately fell in love with it. It was so simple and cute. But best of all, it was white, which is the color of my Christmas decorations and theme – a white Christmas. I didn’t buy it at first because it was $25. I thought surely I could make it for cheaper than $25. So I looked for large white felt balls in craft stores and couldn’t find any. Then I looked online on how to make my own felt balls. For the amount of balls I would need, it was going to cost me way more than $25 to make just the felt balls. Then I still had to get the silver bells and the wreath backing. I decided it wasn’t worth it. So I went back to Target looking to buy the wreath. To my surprise and fortune, the wreath was on sale for 50 percent off! This was a few days before Christmas, too! Sweet!

After Christmas I went back to Target to get some wrapping paper and a few Christmas things for next year. Mostly wrapping supplies. I saw an ad for all these things on clearance but when I got there at 11 a.m. the day after Christmas, I didn’t see much of anything that I was looking for. Oh well, save my money.

» Tell me… Do you stock up on Christmas things after the big day? Or do you purchase as needed?

I did last year. That’s how we got our tree and lights. I don’t think I’ll be going this year though– too cold!

Beautiful wreath! I hit the jackpot at target yesterday!! I picked up the tinsel trees for half off and some wrapping paper. oh and these fantastic felt bins that aren’t even christmas looking. Target started discounting their stuff before christmas so at some target stores there isn’t much left. I went to our less busy Target store that is not right near my house and there was plenty of fun finds. that was at 7:30 i am sure by 11 there wasn’t much left.
